First they quietly locked the doors. Then they brought him the jewelry.

Rings and necklaces. Brooches and earrings. All carefully stored for safekeeping by the ship's purser on the maiden voyage of the world's greatest luxury liner in 1912.

All recovered from the wreck of the RMS Titanic some 70 years later.

One of the jewelers asked to inspect and service the treasures, Karl encountered a young woman's bracelet bearing the name "Amy" in diamonds. Years later, he still remembers what it felt like to hold it.
