Ring Sizing
Can you size my ring?
We can size rings made of precious metals.
What will it cost to size my ring?
The cost for ring sizings varries depending on the current and desired size, as well as the material the ring is made of. For a quote on the cost to size a ring, please bring your ring into the studio so we can ascertain you perfect size.
What causes the variability of price with ring sizing?
Metal type, stone type, number of stones, and whether we are sizing up or down are the primary factors involved in the variability of ring pricing. The number of stones in a ring we are sizing has the biggest impact on the cost of a sizing. As we move the ring size up or down in scale, the stones will shift in their setting. The additional cost covers our jewelers’ time to ensure all stones are tightly set after the sizing.
Metal Refining
Do you buy jewelry?
We do not buy jewelry, though we can potentially assist in the direction of a brokerage.
Do you buy, or give a credit, for precious metals?
Yes, we do pay out for precious metals. We buy precious metals based off the fair market price for gold, platinum, and silver as of 10am that morning. Metal credits can be payed out via cash, check, or used as a credit toward a custom project or inventory item!
The Refinement Process:
At initial consultation we will separate materials into precious metals and non precious metals to be considered for credit.
We will then assay metal to determine karat grade and weight with stones in place. This weight is subject to change after the removal of the stones
**If after identification and assaying of metals you choose not to refine, there is an hourly fee charged for the sorting and identification process.**We then contact you with an itemization of metal karat grades and weights with credit valuations for materials to be refined. We offer an additional 10% for your refined materials when used towards an in store purchase.
Upon your approval we begin the process of refining, stones are removed from the jewelry and will be returned to the customer or can be considered for additional credit
**When stones are removed from refined materials they cannot be reset the mounting it came out of**
Payment is dispersed in the form of a check or store credit toward an ongoing job.
Custom Projects
I have an idea for a custom project, can I get an estimate?
It takes time for our team to put together an accurate estimate of the cost to create a custom piece. In order to give an accurate estimate we ask that the client first does their due diligence researching the item they would like to create, including materials involved, and the budget they have to spend on the piece. We cannot give estimates for a custom piece on the spot, it takes approximately a week to put together the cost to produce the item.
How long does a custom project take?
Our custom projects take ten to twelve weeks to reach completion.
Can you complete a custom job in less than eight weeks?
We can complete custom projects in a shorter timeframe for a rush fee. This fee is calculated based on the project, desired completion date, and the other jobs we have currently in process. A percentage rush fee is added to the total cost of the project in order to move forward with a faster turnaround.
Estimates
How do I go about getting an estimate for a custom project?
There are a couple of ways to go about obtaining an estimate, but the best way is to schedule an appointment to discuss your custom project in-depth in our studio! Once we compile all the necessary components of your project, we can begin preparing an estimate! Estimates are typically emailed about one week after the initial appointment.
Returns
Do you accept returns?
Items purchased from inventory can be returned within 30 days for store credit or exchange.
Custom items cannot be returned as they are custom creations crafted specifically for an individual over ten weeks or more.
